Welcome to Florida Unveiled!  We are Jonathan, Sarah, Hadassah, and Hannah, a nature loving, wayfaring, homeschooling family of native Floridians.  While we enjoy Florida’s famous theme parks and beaches and certainly appreciate the important role they play in the economy, our goal with this website is to provide both a unique Florida travel guide and educational resources to help others find ways to experience the authentic Florida beyond the popular tourist destinations.  Are you planning a trip to Florida and looking for places to visit outside of the usual tourist spots?  Are you a new Florida resident and interested in exploring?  Are you an educator or homeschool family seeking educational materials and field trip ideas to help students learn about the history and geography of the state?  With Florida Unveiled, we aim to give you tips and resources to delve into all that Florida has to offer.

Stretching 447 miles from the northern border to Key West, our state encompasses a diverse array of habitats, from pine flatwoods and dry prairies in the north and central regions to hardwood hammocks and wetlands in the south.  From historical monuments and state parks to quaint small towns, Florida boasts an array of hidden gems.
