Welcome to Florida Unveiled!  We are Jonathan, Sarah, Hadassah, and Hannah, a nature loving, wayfaring, homeschooling family of native Floridians.  While we enjoy Florida’s famous theme parks and beaches and certainly appreciate the important role they play in the economy, our goal with this website is to help visitors find ways to experience the authentic Florida beyond the popular tourist destinations.  Stretching 447 miles from the northern border to Key West, our state encompasses a diverse array of habitats, from pine flatwoods and dry prairies in the north and central regions to hardwood hammocks and wetlands in the south.  From historical monuments and state parks to quaint small towns, Florida boasts an array of hidden gems.  Whether you are looking for a quick daytrip from Orlando, are new to the state and wanting to explore, or are a homeschool family wanting to plan a field trip, our goal is to give you tips and resources to delve into all that Florida has to offer.
